T. Farrell Jensen was born in Brigham City Utah in July of 1940. He moved to Mesa, Arizona at the age of 7 with his family where he has resided ever since. Farrell grew up going to Mesa Public Schools in Mesa and went on to attend ASU. Farrell raised a family of six children with his Wife Patricia whom he married in 1964.
He worked while he attended ASU and supported his young family that he raised in Mesa while he gained experience in the church and community. Farrell held many positions in the LDS Church and went on to be a Bishop for 7 years.
While continuing in church service and working in business he was asked by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and The United Way to open a food bank in that would serve the East Valley. He went on to open the United Food Bank that he started in an abandon Franklin school cafeteria, The very school he attended as a child. He purposed that old cafeteria as a food bank as he began. Farrell went on to broaden his horizons to serve in several positions at the national level as the Chairperson of Second Harvest for the Western United States. During this period Farrell began his political career as he ran a successful campaign for a seat on the Mesa City Council where he went on to serve on several crucial committees including the Police and Non-Profit committees and went on to serve as Vice Mayor.
While running the United Food Bank and serving the city in various capacities
After his time in Mesa politics he moved to Salt Lake to take over ownership after purchasing a nutritional supplement company that later became Legacy Nutrition. Farrell has continued to be a business consultant and help revive some struggling businesses in the service sector over the last decade or so. Farrell continues to be active in church service and as the Father of 6 Children, 15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. His family continues to be his main priority as it always has been. He finds His greatest joy and satisfaction in seeing his family happy and thriving.
